Humanitarian Project
RBR is spearheading a Mother-Child Outreach Project to help local mothers care for
their families.

While many Mechapans make a good living selling lobster and fish to the cities, there are many families who are not as fortunate due to circumstances beyond their control.  Our very good friend, Reina, has six children under the age of 16, who she cares for herself because her husband moved to Honduras for work.  Her youngest son is frequently ill and requires frequent medical care.  Another friend, Thomas, who is 16-years-old, was badly injured after falling off of a ladder while helping his father, a carpenter.  We helped both families with basic medical assistance and supplies.  With your help, we would like to help more needy families in the area.

Each Care Package will be distributed intact to a Mechapan Family, who we will assist in writing to you a letter of receipt.  Your attention is dearly needed, as most mothers have several young children to care for and do not have the means to go the city to purchase these necessary items.  In addition, we are interested in organizing Family Care Seminars, which are to held every three months. Please contact us for more information or offer assistance in development.
