RBR recommends the VIP Salon for your arrival - for $35 per person, you will be greeted by a uniformed agent at the arrival gate and escorted through a private immigration entrance to the VIP Lounge. Your luggage will be retrieved for you and guarded at the entrance while you relax, enjoying a snack and a drink. Credit cards or cash accepted upon arrival, and we recommend reserving the service at least 1 day in advance of your arrival. Contact us for assistance in booking your VIP Salon arrival.

RBR offers hotel guests specialized tours of the Volcano - by foot or by Unimog, with our experienced guide Jesus. Rates start at only $30 per group in your car, and we offer our Land Cruiser for up to 6 people starting at $80 (includes transportation, guide, water and snack), to $240 for up to 13 people in the Mercedes UniMog, including driver, guide, cooler with beverages and snack.

A short drive from RBR, check out the Estero Padre Ramos the way nature intended - in a sit-atop kayak! Our guide will help you navigate the winding route through the mangroves and bring you to the open estuary waters of our own "Champagne Island" where you can swim, enjoy a cold beverage, and take in the incredible natural and isolated beauty of Central America's largest salt water estuary. $45 per person, maximum of 5 people, includes transportation to the launch site, guide, and a cooler filled with various beverages.

A Specialty of the House! A unique and fun experience for the whole family. After dark you'll chase down these small crabs with Mikil and the following day enjoy the delicious soup.

Potosi is a large fishing and shrimping community on the Gulf of Fonseca. There aren't any hotels, but it is a decent day trip from RBR (we can even supply the 4x4 Land Cruiser and driver if you like). There's no tourism to speak of, but it is a real slice of Nicaraguan community-living.

The Farrallones and Punta Nata are the rugged and deserted NW points of Nicaragua at the mouth of the Gulf of Fonseca. Here you'll find the cliffs overlooking the beach and large volcanic rock groupings formed when Volcano Cosiguina erupted in the 1800's. Large conch shells and great surfing here between Punta Nata and Punta Cosiguina - ONLY accessible from the beach and from our hotel we offer lunch boxes, water, tide information and emergency assistance.

Enjoy 2, 4 or more hours fishing with Redwood Beach Resort's own captain, Capitan Odel, who knows all the best spots up and down the reef to catch tuna, red snapper, barracuda, jacks, mackerel and more...RBR supplies the fishing poles, lures, a large cooler for your catch, a small cooler filled with beverages, lifejackets, and the captain. Rates start at only $85, gas additional.
